Tieto has installed bicycle stands for its employees and invested in highly modern video-conference solutions to reduce the necessity of work trips. The Oxygen building, the location for the head office of Tieto Poland, has received a GreenBuilding certificate. A waste segregation system has been implemented (seven kinds of waste). Employees are encouraged to adopt this pro-environmental attitude (info campaigns, stickers, newsletters). Aerators have been fitted in all the taps in the office, while two-sided printing has been adopted. The lights in the office automatically switch off when not being used. And a system has been introduced informing all employees about potentially environmental-harmful activities. Tieto has been awarded an ISO 14001 certificate and on a daily basis monitors its processes in terms of their impact on the environment.
