Company’s approach and policies towards sustainability in its work premises:	Regus takes its green commitments very seriously, both globally and locally. Since 2009 the company has worked with specialist consultants in all aspects of green culture, primarily with the clear objective of reducing the company’s worldwide 2007 carbon footprint by 50 pct by the year 2020. In April 2012 a reduction of 30 pct had already been achieved, which has resulted in the company achieving the much sought-after Carbon Trust Accreditation and coming within the top 10 pct of companies in the CRC league table. In Central and Eastern Europe, as indeed across the world, Regus is a passionate supporter of green policies and always has green concerns at the forefront of its agenda when identifying new properties and upgrading existing ones. With appropriate waste recycling and the use of non-toxic cleaning products a given, Regus also ensures that all major plant machinery – including boilers and air conditioning – is functioning as efficiently as possible. The company thinks laterally, too, making sure that lighting controls are functioning correctly and are low-energy as a matter of course, but also hunting out buildings with plenty of natural light, which helps to reduce electricity consumption considerably. Air quality regulation systems are a must in the company’s buildings, while locations with excellent public transport facilities allow Regus clients to reduce their personal carbon emissions simply by leaving the car at home! Wherever possible, Regus also works with suppliers who have clearly-defined green policies to spread ‘green awareness’ outside the confines of their buildings. It’s this kind of 360 degree thinking that has seen Regus at the forefront of the green office revolution. But they have not been resting on their laurels, with a specially-formed ‘Green Board’ meeting regularly to discuss and implement the very latest green initiatives.
