Deloitte House has been designed in compliance with green building requirements, to satisfy relevant levels of ergonomics and energy saving, and to provide its tenants with a modern and friendly working environment. The building infrastructure is focused on recycling – beginning from air circulation inside, all the way through its carpeting, furniture, energy-saving office equipment and ergonomic work and social space. Our purchasing policy follows the sustainability trend. We purchase furniture made of recycled materials and in compliance with strict environmental regulations. We use environment-friendly cleaning materials. Office equipment is selected so that the ozone and carbon dioxide emissions are low, and machines installed inside the building are equipped with energy-saving features (25% lower energy consumption than reference buildings) and have proper certifications. We encourage our employees to save energy and care for the environment (by installing posters, screensavers, reminders etc.). Waste is segregated into organic, plastic and glass. We ensure safe disposal of old batteries. Paper recycling policy has a number of aspects: we use double-sided print as the standard setting in all printers/copiers, fully recycle documents intended for shredding and for social purposes we use recycled paper only. Our building houses both offices and restaurants, which offer employees both opportunities to relax and have fresh and healthy meals at very affordable prices (prices are controlled by the owner so that they meet the typical lunch price standards). Employees are encouraged to exercise, which includes biking to work (special bicycle stands are installed in front of the building and in the garage). Employees are entitled to use sporting facilities co-funded by the company and often invited to sporting events within the firm. Any improvement initiatives are always welcome and respected (annual satisfaction survey).
