In the tenant awards category, the winning buildings are chosen in a survey of tenants of offices, shopping centres and warehouses across Poland.
A total of 20 office buildings, 10 shopping centres and 20 warehouses are included in the survey. Every year we select the buildings and facilities to be surveyed with the support of the biggest real estate agencies operating in Poland. The properties included in the survey vary in size and geographically, and buildings with higher numbers of tenants are preferred in terms of the selection for the survey. To find out what the tenants’ needs are and how they have changed over the years we survey buildings that have been occupied over a year before the survey starts. Some of the buildings are surveyed almost every year, but as new ones appear across the country, we add them to the survey and amend the final list.
The survey is carried out by market research company Kantar, which will pose questions to a minimum of 250 tenants. The survey is aimed at identifying the most satisfied tenants. Awards are presented to the office buildings, shopping centres and warehouses with the highest scores. In addition, statuettes are awarded to the best facility managers of the offices and shopping centres and warehouses. The survey asks the tenants to rate, from -5 to + 5, the key aspects of the buildings they occupy. The tenants are asked to complete questionnaires devised to evaluate the various aspects of the building they lease space in, such as: the rent fees, costs, location, aesthetics, architectural design, parking spaces, the effectiveness of the building’s management and many other criteria. Each year we try to reach the largest number of tenants to be surveyed. Because of this Kantar employs the methods that seem to be the most suitable for the tenants – the study of shopping centres is carried out by means of the PAPI method (paper and pencil interview), while for offices and warehouses the CATI method is mostly used (computer and telephone interview).
The winners will be announced at the Eurobuild Awards Gala. A summary of the findings of the survey will be published in Eurobuild CEE magazine, which is to be issued to all those attending the gala and Eurobuild CEE subscribers. This will not include full rankings lists. However, the top 3 offices, top 3 shopping centres and top 3 warehouses will be revealed, and the highest-rated project for each question in the questionnaire will also be made public.
This year the tenants’ survey takes place between May and August 2022.

The study covers properties that received a building permit no earlier than 2019, have been operating for a minimum of 6 months and have at least 5 tenants.
