8th Charity Real Estate Beach Volleyball Tournament. The real estate industry raised the bar even higher with another record set by the 2017 JLL Charity Real Estate Beach Volleyball Tournament. Almost 380,000 PLN was raised in one summer evening.
Show winner profile
JLL’s flagship non-business initiative is the annual Charity Real Estate Beach Volleyball Tournament organized under the patronage of the Polish Volleyball Federation. In its eight years, the tournament has established itself as one of the most popular events on the Polish real estate sector's social calendar. The event brings together teams representing both Polish and international companies (top developers, investors, advisors, legal firms, services providers and others) in friendly competition in order to help those in need. By registering for the tournament, teams support charitable organizations, and after the games, a charity auction is held. This year's event, held on 3rd August at the La Playa Music Bar in Warsaw, set a new record - 379,210 PLN (incl. transfers from anonymous donors). All of the proceeds were donated to the Foundation of Fulfilled Dreams and is being used for the purchasing of medical equipment utilized in treating cancer in the youngest of patients. The equipment will be transferred to the oncology departments of three hospitals: the Provincial Children's Hospital in Olsztyn, the University Children's Hospital in Lublin and the Voivodship Hospital Complex / Świętokrzyskie Centrum Pediatrii in Kielce. This year’s edition broke many records – apart from the total raised, the event saw the largest number of players – 336 players in 48 teams, and a record of 1,500 guests. The MLP Group won with Skanska and BNP Paribas Real Estate claiming second and third places. Emotions were high both in the matches and later on during the auction. In total, 1.56 million PLN has now been collected in the eight years that the Charity Real Estate Beach Volleyball Tournament has been held. The event's prime quality is that it brings the real estate sector together for the common good in an event that encourages charity, sport and friendly rivalry. The tournament’s continued success is a testament to the event's uniqueness as well as to the involvement of both organizers and participants. We look forward to 2018's event with the hope that more records will fall. Watch the movie from 2017 edition: http://www.jll.pl/poland/en-gb/about-us/charity-volleyball-tournament/video
