Rafał Mazurcak started his career as an office project leasing manager in Echo Investment in 2000. In the years 2007 – 2013 he was the leasing director in the office department, where he was responsible for the commercialization of: Park Rozwoju, Malta Office Park, Oxygen, Avatar and Aquarius Business Park, among others. From 2013 he was the director of the office department. He co-created the development strategy of this part of Echo Investment’s business and implemented it. He was responsible for the construction, leasing and marketing of the company’s flagship project – the Q22 skyscraper in Warsaw as well as Park Rozwoju, the O3 Business Park complex in Kraków, A4 Business Park in Katowice, the Tryton office building in Gdańsk as well as West Gate and Nobilis in Wrocław.

Echo Investment SA is the biggest Polish developer operating in the main sectors of the real estate market: residential, retail and office. Since 1996 the company has been listed at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Echo Investment has completed 120 office, retail, hotel and residential investments with the total space of almost 1.3 million sq. m.
The y-o-y increase in profits/income generated last year
The Echo Investment Group had the revenue of PLN 280.5 mln in H1 2016 (compared to PLN 273.8 mln in H1 2015), a gross sales profit of PLN 145.4 mln (compared to PLN 135 mln), an operating profit of PLN 404 mln (compared to PLN 31.3 mln) and a net profit of PLN 299 mln (compared to PLN 22.7 mln). The net profit of Echo Investment SA amounted to PLN 244.3 mln in H1 2016 compared to PLN 43 mln a year earlier. The company’s equity capital amounted to PLN 1.705 bln and it was nearly two and a half times higher compared to the end of June 2015 when it amounted to PLN 720.2 mln.

Biggest business achievements, especially those made last year
Rafał Mazurczak was responsible for the construction, leasing and marketing of the company’s flagship project – the Q22 skyscraper in Warsaw. Q22 is the most spectacular development among Echo Investment’s projects completed so far. Q22 is 80% leased, and by the end of the year it will be 90% leased. The last commercialization phase of Q22 is currently underway, offering a further 8,500 sq m of available office space. Its tenants include companies such as: Deloitte, Allegro, Linklaters, William Demant, Boston Scientific, Citi Handlowy, Omni Office and Puro Hotels. This project is the best proof of the investment’s quality, but also shows an enormous potential of Warsaw and Poland’s commercial real estate market.
Contributions made to the improvement of the CEE commercial property market
The construction of Q22 was a great challenge. It involved 80 Polish construction companies as well as a few hundred subcontractors and suppliers. Over 750 employees was working on the site at the peak moment in March 2016. In the construction process they used enough steel to build 190 goods wagons, twice as much concrete as the amount used for the construction of the Świętokrzyski Bridge as well as 1,700 km of electric cables, 20 km of pipes and 7,500 fire sprinklers.
