Wroclaw plans a wide set of investment projects for 2017, which can be divided into following groups:
Development of the city’s inftrastructure: major street reconstructions (Buforowa, Wilkaszyńska, Pełczyńska, Obornicka, Pęgowska, Zajączkowska, part of Hubska, Sucha, construction of the Incubation Axis connecting economic activity zones with the motorway and the airport (Kwiatkowskiego St – Rakietowa St), major bridges reconstruction (Chrobry Bridge, Średzkie Bridges, Zwierzyniecki Bridge),
Public transport development: new tram and bus route connecting Nowy Dwór settlement and city centre, new tram route at Hubska St, expansion of the “Park and Ride” system, bike tracks, upgrade of the intelligent transport system,
Education:primary schools reconstruction (SP 96 , SP 109), new kindergartens construction (at Zakrzów settlement, at Przedwiośnie St),
Revitalization: big projects for the areas of “Przedmieście Olawskie” and “Przedmieście Odrzańskie” (inhabited by more than 25 000 ppl)

In 2017 there around 20 big projects planned with usage of EU funds. The total value of the biggest projects is 1 165 554 000 PLN, e.g.:

Wroclaw real estate market is stable and steadily developing: the same players have been present here for years. Here are some examples on 2016 investments:
-Skanska bought 2 allotments: at Św.Katarzyna St there will be 20 000 sq m of office space and at Powstańców Śląskich St there will be even 80 000 sq m of office space.
- ProBuild - AG Adjustments LTD decided to invest in Business Park at Strzegomska St. There will be over 40 000 sq m office space created there.
-Vastint is building over 100 000 sq m of office space right now, (Business Garden).
-Unibail-Rodamco is constructing the biggest shopping center in Wrocław. It will be located next to the main railway station.
-LC Corp started building Retro Offer House at Piłsudskiego St. It will offer more than 20 000 sq m of office space.
-Archicom bought allotment at Piłsudskiego St to build there over 20 000 sw m of office space.
-The warehouse sector main players – Panattoni, Goodman and Prologis – continue to invest in Wrocław.

The zoning plan coverage level is 16 630 hectares, which is 56,8% of the city area.
What is the waiting time for building permits?
The waiting time for building permits was 31,85 days in the second half of 2015 and 32,14 days in the first half of 2016.

Wroclaw was the first city in Poland that clearly stated that attracting new domestic and foreign business is the cornerstone of the city’s economic policy. Between 2002 and 2015 it resulted in the biggest unemployment drop in Poland from over 12% to historical low of 3% in Q3 2016.
With the employers base secured, more effort was directed into attracting more sophisticated investments, developing initiatives aimed at building talent pool and supporting domestic companies that includes establishment of sustainable and growing business networks.
