Brief desciption of the concept: Launching Tesco Extra stores was a response to the needs of customers. That is why the walls of Tesco Extra stores are no longer covered with corrugated iron and the façades are in neutral colors with many wooden elements. But most of all the changes have been introduced in the stores’ interiors. Commerce and services have been concentrated in one place and new units have been introduced, i.e. opticians and phone shops. The dedicated area for F&F clothing has been separated and now this Tesco flagship brand has its own shop in the store, distinguished with wooden-like floors, spot lighting and a new interior arrangement. It is now comparable to other chain stores with clothing and its size (2000 sqm) often exceeds them. The Baby Department is now colourful, warm and a child-friendly place. Thanks to the modern techniques of lighting and pastel coloured wall,s the interiors of Tesco Extra stores have become friendlier for the customers visiting the store.
