Brief desciption of the concept: Tesco has introduced new, aesthetic, self-service Bistros in its hypermarket stores. Warm and subdued colours ranging from brown and beige to white with green elements, floors made of wood-like materials and spot lights above each table create a welcoming and customer-friendly atmosphere. Also, it is worth adding that the place provides free wifi for all customers. The new Bistros are equipped with hi-tech equipment: hoods, ventilators (increased number), and counters made of stainless materials. The implementation of all these elements makes gives these places a much higher standard and reflects the increasing expectations of the customers. Tesco Bistros can be compared to other chain restaurants operating independently in shopping centres or on high streets. During this financial year alone, which means until the end of February 2013, Bistros will have been opened in eleven towns and cities across the country.
