Silesia Business Park is a modern business complex which, when completed, will have four office buildings offering a total of 48 000 sqm of space. In February 2015, Skanska commissioned for use the first buildings on the location. Silesia Business Park A is being developed on the area where the Baildon Steelworks previously stood and is representative of the change Katowice is undergoing, from a post-industrial city to an attractive investment area. The building is a memorable landmark for commuters entering Katowice along Chorzowska street. The Silesia Business Park A has been designed to fit the surroundings. The three-coloured panels on the façade create a harmonious composition, blending in with the cityscape. The building guarantees a friendly working environment and other benefits for the tenants’ employees. 30% more fresh air is circulated compared to local norms. In Q4 2015 the building was acquired by the Swedish Niam fund as a part of portfolio transaction valued 160 mn EUR. |
