Mr Bar-Tur has been involved in the acquisition and development of student accommodation since 2009 and more generally involved in real estate funds since 2005 including light industrial park strategies, the conversion of a major New York hotel to co-op apartments and the fund raising for, and creation of a $400 million world class entertainment complex. Previously was employed as an Executive Director of the Investment Management division of Morgan Stanley and has also worked for Merrill Lynch.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ENTRY INTO THE POLISH MARKET
BaseCamp entered the Polish market in 2015 by establishing an office in Warsaw. Our first project followed swiftly with the redevelopment of an historic printing factory in Lodz. This property has been turned into an iconic student residence and is the first of many in our pipeline.
THE ORIGINS OF THE COMPANY AND HOW IT STARTED OUT
BaseCamp was founded in 2014 by Armon and Amnon Bar-Tur, Justin Hamer and Dr. Andreas Junius. The team had worked together for many years and saw an opportunity to bring modern developments and advances in student accommodation design and operation to the Northern European market. To date, BaseCamp has raised over €500m for investment into its target markets.

BaseCamp Student is the only provider of student accommodation in Europe, bringing a unique approach to community building mixing it with a high design standard and European amenities and facilities.
The concept puts students in the centre and seeks to help them accelerate their student experience. It proves that students nowadays seek comfort and safety when they choose their homes, they also appreciate belonging to a community which helps them build life-long relationships and enjoy their student expeditions, which sometimes take place thousands of miles away from their homes.
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS TO DATE
Opening of the first property in Poland in Lodz- October 2017. The property currently runs with a 100% occupancy and a waiting list of students from Poland and all around the world.
Opening BaseCamp Copenhagen in August 2016- a property in the heart of Copenhagen, running full since day 1.
Opening BaseCamp Potsdam October 2017- right next to the University of Potsdam.
Opening BaseCamp Leipzig in September 2018.
BaseCamp Lyngby (Denmark, opening 2020) receiving Project of the Year this year.
PLANS FOR THE FUTURE / EXPANSION PLANS and information on how they have been pursued so far
The second property in Lodz is under development and due to open in 2020.
Properties in Katowice, Wroclaw and Sopot are all secured and in planning processes.
In Germany construction is taking place in Aachen, Berlin, Goettingen, and Dortmund.
In Denmark construction is taking place in Lyngby and Copenhagen.
