The company ESG reporting mode (short description) We place great importance on transparency in monitoring and reporting. Our ESG reports (Climate Risk, ESG and Socio-economic impact) are in line with GRI Standards and TCFD recommendations, and present climate risk for our properties taken from Munich RE and WRI databases. The GHG emissions per asset have been calculated and audited by PwC. Reporting covers the financial year. The ESG Director verifies and approves ESG-related topics while reporting to the Board is the responsibility of the COO.
Green certificates obtained for the investments developed or purchased by your company As of June 2023, 78% of retail and office assets were certified by BREEAM In-Use (Asset Performance & Building Management) and 65% of office portfolio received WELL HSR. By 2025 we aim to have the entire portfolio of 36 properties certified by BREEAM In-Use at the 'Excellent' or 'Very good' level.
The company activities in environmental protection In 2023 our first Climate Risk Report following recommendations of TCFD was issued. GHG emissions presented in the report were calculated according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. The carbon footprint assessment was audited externally by PwC. In 2023 we had our near- and long-term science-based decarbonization targets validated by the SBTi. We took part in the LIFE Archiclima project supporting biodiversity and building resilience to the effects of climate change (5 projects and 2 new upcoming).
The company activities in social responsibility We support local communities living near EPP-managed properties within our “5 good deeds” initiative. In FY 2022/2023, we delivered 205 activities and engaged 119 employees who contributed 1,021 volunteer hours (estimated number of beneficiaries: 20,300). Portfolio-wide initiatives are in place: quiet hours, bookcrossing zones, pet-friendly properties, collections of unwanted clothing and help for Ukrainian refugees. Our social value strategy is being finalised using the National TOMs Framework.
The company activities in the corporate governance issue EPP launched Code of Conduct with a commitment to protect human rights, including the Suppliers’ Code of Conduct, which is applied by the parties we cooperate with. Our aim is to work with responsible companies that adhere to ethical operating principles. We have developed the Green Lease (2022), which commits us and tenants to sustainable actions to save energy and use other environmentally friendly solutions. It is mandatory to attach a green lease to all new agreements.
