Maciej Runkiewicz has been involved in the construction sector since 1995. Since 2001, he has been working for Kajima, a Japanese general contractor specializing in large-size buildings. He has gone through all career levels here, first as a Project Director in charge of construction of production facilities. Currently, as the President of the Company’s Management Board, he leads its over 190 employees and is fully accountable for the overall business of Kajima Poland.

General contracting in the design & build system is the core of Kajima Poland’s services. We specialize in large volume construction, short delivery times, and expanding existing buildings without disrupting the production or logistics activity of their operational parts. Our portfolio includes over 130 facilities built for recognized Polish and international brands. KAJIMA Poland builds its resources and strong market position in accordance with ESG guidelines. The high rating of Kajima Poland in terms of ESG is confirmed by EcoVadis (Silver Medal). In 2021 we were certified as meeting ISO 14001:2015 certification for environmental management. To complement our activities related to meeting the widely understood environmental protection, sustainable development, and ESG requirements, we joined the UN Global Compact in 2022. We have been a member of PLGBC Association since 2021. We SUPPORT “BUILDER FOR THE YOUNG ENGINEERS” an educational and promotion program for young engineers.

In the period between 07.2022 and 06.2023, we delivered more than 17 buildings, which is more than 577,000 sqm. We merge the latest technologies with environmental awareness. 3D BIM project coordination allows us to synchronize design and implementation activities. During the implementation phase, we use CDE to manage documentation in real-time. We contribute to the industry through technical excellence, client service, and responsibility to our employees, our suppliers, and the environment.
