Brief information about the project from an architectural point of view: |
The building was erected in the 1950s accordingt to the design of architect Marek Leykam. It is considered one of the most prominent works of Polish Modernism, its status being confirmed in 2006 when the building received the Jan Baptysta Quadro Award for the “Best Architectural Design of the past 50 years” in Poznań. The main goal of the investor was to realise a prestigious and modern office facility in a historic building. The restoration of the round body of the building, the installation of windows without segmentation, maintaining the original light grey color of the façade, modern office space on eight floors and a restaurant on the lower levels - these are just some of the elements of the New Okrąglak after the completion of its revitalisation.
