Brief information about the architectural studio:

Piotr Litoborski and Piotr Marciniak set up the studio in 1993 and ahve since created numerous designs, developments and competition entries.

Brief information about the project from an architectural point of view: The architects had to design a project on a plot located in the beautiful neighbourhood of the Maltańskie Lake in Poznań and near an industrial development built in the 1960s. The basic rule adopted by the architects involved disciplining the architectural form of the buildings and opening it up to the nearby greenery of the Maltańskie Lake area. The spatial planning composition stipulated creating an internal square; while the requirements in the site development conditions included small-scale buildings divided into sections and high quality materials. Thus a considerable amount of office space was distributed in six buildings. Stone has been used in public buildings in Poznań for decades – hence the idea of using sandstone as the façade material, with an alternate system of cladding panels creating a façade mosaic. A major technical problem was the high level of ground water, which, however, has been overcome thanks to the use insulation and drainage systems.
