Why this deal should be considered for the award: |
In July 2012, Kulczyk Silverstein Properties acquired from Hochtief Development two historic buildings located at pl. Małachowskiego 2 and ul. Mazowiecka 2/4 in Warsaw. When complete, the buildings will total app. 17,000 sqm of leasable office and retail space. Both historic buildings will be redeveloped into class ‘A’ buildings including raised floors, suspended ceilings, modern lifts, HVAC and BREEAM certification. To date, this investment is the largest office transaction in Poland in 2012 and KSP’s largest real estate investment. This investment is seen as a hallmark for the Polish office market as it represents the great value international and domestic investors place on the historical importance of real estate in Warsaw, the desire to preserve the history of Warsaw, and the innovation to create eco-friendly, modern class ‘A’ product from this space.
