Why the company should be considered for this award:	Avestus Real Estate delivered the first phase of the greenest office park in Kraków in September 2012. It was decided in the very begining to deliver a sustainable office project and following the preliminary survey in 2011, Enterprise Park entered into the BREEAM register with the expected ‘Very Good’ final rating. The environmentally friendly solutions incorporated in Enterprise Park’s design met the requirements contained in the BRE (Building Research Establishment) specifications. Those solutions include, among others: openable windows allowing natural air exchange; amenities for people using alternative means of transportation, i.e. a bicycle path network and a large bicycle parking area; extensive green areas (as much as 40 pct of the complex area will be naturally landscaped); an individual well for plant watering; window shutter systems; and zoned cooling, heating and lighting systems. Enterprise Park is expected to be awarded the final BREEAM certification following the business park’s commissioning in 2012. Moreover, the developer has provided bicycle paths connected it with the municipal road network and allowing easy access to the buildings. Also, a monitored bicycle parking area with professional bike racks was built so that cyclists will be able to safely leave their vehicles. Bike commuters will also have the opportunity to refresh and change clothes before work. There are bathrooms with showers and changing rooms with lockers for bikers in each of Enterprise Park’s buildings.
