| Company’s approach and policies towards sustainability in its work premises: |
Nordea Bank Polska has been developing numerous pro-ecological aspects related to car fleet management, purchases of goods, lease agreements for premises, benefits for credit customers, etc. In terms of aspects related to premises and exploitation issues, the bank has implemented: the recycling of waste, divided into paper, plastic, glass and battery waste material; the installation of time locks on water distributors and other allowed energy receivers to curb undue use; the purchase of energy generated by renewable sources; e-invoicing instead of paper invoicing, as promoted in our own economy drive (we are also trying to phase out paper in many reporting systems); e-booking in our business trip activities with no issuing of paper documents and in orders to purchase commodities throughout all organisational units of the Bank; premises to be rented for head office functions have to be classified according to LEED or BREEAM certification; and providing incentives to cycle to work.
