Tomasz Stasiak – Co-Managing Partner, Head of Real Estate and Construction in Poland

Tomasz Stasiak has over 20 years of professional experience on the CEE real estate market. He has represented major international investors and developers in a number of landmark projects in Poland, Ukraine, Hungary and Lithuania. He is recognized and recommended by Chambers and Legal 500. Lately, Tomasz has been advising on restructuring of major real estate portfolios, including re-zoning, conversion of yielding assets and forming development-focused joint ventures.

Wolf Theiss Warsaw was focused on sales and restructuring of property portfolios (Tesco, 7R and Steinhoff), assisting developers (7R, Panattoni, CTP) and investors (Savills Investments Management, Investar). The team was also involved in the office sector (Concept Development), student housing (BaseCamp) and other sectors of real estate industry helping clients such as Mayland. Finally, the team worked with non-real estate clients (Tom's Gruppen A/S, Oracle, Peek & Cloppenburg, Frontex).

Advising Concept Development BSD 2 sp. z o.o. on the sale of Concept Tower, a 15-floor office building the first in Poland to be certified both LEED Gold and BREEAM.

Advising 7R on several transactions between 7R and Segro, including sale of shares in the share capital of Dafne 6 Sp. z o.o., a SPV which owns and manages a logistic centre 7R Park Wrocław Biskupice, and sale of a warehouse center located near Łódź, valued at approx. EUR 100 million.

Advising Savills Investment Management on the acquisition and financing of a 46,000 sq. m. warehousing complex located near Wrocław.

Advising Tesco in a sale of a portfolio of Tesco's shopping centres located in Warsaw, Kraków, Poznań and Łódź to Echo Investment SA., as well as a sale of Tesco's shopping centres located in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Gdynia, Bydgoszcz, Łódź, Głogów and Warsaw to Leroy Merlin.

Advising Panattoni and Marvipol on the sale of three logistic centres to LaSalle Investment Management.

Advising BaseCamp pertaing to the development of a multi-functional project consisting of a student house and a 4-star hotel located in the strict city centre of Wrocław. Wolf Theiss continued to advise this client, for example on a PLN 60 million financing for the purpose of construction of a student residence hall in Łódź. Subsequently BaseCamp received financing for the development of another student house in Łódź for the amount of approx. PLN 70 million. This was a complex project, in particular due to cross-collaterization between projects and the complex status of the property, such changes to the composition of plots at closing. Within advisory Wolf Theiss provided the client with all the ongoing developmental and legal support, including permitting, zoning and construction matters. Wolf Theiss is also currently advising Base Camp in relation to ongoing financing of construction of other student housing and the hotel in different Polish cities, including Wrocław and Katowice.

International and Polish companies and investors trust us for knowledge of the local market, for practical and business-oriented approach to law, as well as ability to come up with creative solutions. Our practice group proved that the promotion of Tomasz Stasiak to the position of co-manging partner does not affect the quality and capacity of the team. Our team is capable of handling a number of difficult transactions at the same time. We are proud that this year we completed a transaction that consisted of simultaneous disposal of 28 separate real estates to two different buyers. We are ready to handle any project that requires not only legal expertise but also project management skills.
