New Hotel of the Year, Poland
ibis Styles Warszawa City is the first brand’s property in the Polish capital. The hotel located at Grzybowska 43 street introduces visitors to the fascinating historical world of Warsaw’s trams. The colourful map of connections running through the hotel interior recreates the route of the first horse-drawn tram line, inaugurated in 1866 close to Grzybowska street. The contemporary interiors juxtapose lots of curiosities related to urban transport. The lobby is patterned on a tram stop, the reception desk and buffet restaurant also refer to the main theme of the hotel. The lifts, corridors, rooms and all other spaces are filled with graphics and decorations with transport motif: tram seats, rails on the carpet, tracks in the breakfast room and a description of the floors presented as a timetable are just a few. The facility provides 220 comfortable rooms.
