The company completed the transfer of the second tranche of the M1 portfolio which covers the Bytom, Częstochowa, Radom and Poznan M1 shopping centres totalling 141 000 sqm GLA for 224 mln euro. These are well-established properties with a 20-year track record, supported by strong anchors: Auchan, OBI and Media Markt. They’re located on large sites and catchments with over 200 ha of land on sites and with ample parking.
Future plans
Following its successful interim results in H1 2019, EPP remains firmly on track to meet its strategic goal to consolidate the Polish shopping centre market. All key operational highlights, including footfall, sales and occupancy have increased, and the company has continued to upgrade the size and quality of its assets in the most lucrative Polish cities. In the near future, EPP aims to maintain its asset recycling strategy, reap dividends from the initiatives of its asset management teams, integrate its portfolio of new assets and continue to work on its capital structure. EPP is looking forward to 2020, when its attractive and diversified pipeline will include 28 retail projects, with over 1 000 000 sqm o GLA, a footfall of over 120 mln and 40% of the Polish population within a 30 min drive.

In 2019 EPP opened Galeria Młociny, an 84 000 sqm mixed-use centre situated in a prime location in Warsaw’s Bielany district. This unique retail destination boasts an unbeatable shopping and F&B experience. The company also completed the transfer of the second tranche of the M1 portfolio which covers of the Bytom, Czestochowa, Radom and Poznan M1 shopping centres totalling 141 000 sqm GLA. Furthermore, EPP entered into a joint venture with Henderson Park which acquired a 70% stake in 105 000 sqm of EPP’s office portfolio. EPP continues to be responsible for the management of these properties, while the proceeds from this transaction will allow it to concentrate on its strategic asset recycling strategy of developing and populating its real estate portfolio. EPP is consistently investing in upgrading its portfolio: in H1 2019 it opened a fashionable new food court in Pasaż Grunwaldzki and is now transform its F&B offering in Galaxy and will focus on the same in Galeria Echo.
