Thanks to the cooperation with the Climate Strategies Poland Foundation, the carbon footprint of the reconstruction was monitored at every stage. The investor of the facility also introduced a number of solutions that had a real impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. In September 2021, the dismantling works were fully completed. During these activities, nearly 400 containers were utilized. A significant part of the materials obtained during the demolition phase was reused on the construction site. As part of the modernization, recovery accounted for 96.5 percent. The general contractor was obliged to present its solutions to reduce energy, water and dust consumption, and also had to present selected solutions for the appropriate disposal and recovery of raw materials. Building materials were purchased from companies that also strive to reduce the carbon footprint of their production.
