This meant 2 more projects than in 2020, and an 8.5% increase in space delivered y-o-y. Trei also increased the volume of apartments sold in two of its investments. In total, at the Kraft in Łódź and Bacciarellego 54 in Wrocław developments, the company sold 4,909 sqm GLA in 2020 and 16,038 sqm GLA in 2021, representing a threefold y-o-y increase.

Since Jacek took up the position of managing director, the company has been upping the number of investments every year. In 2021, Trei built 8 retail parks with a total leasable area of 37,400 sqm and achieved a growth rate that it plans to continue in the future. Since 2019, Jacek has headed Trei Residential, which has two developments currently under construction, in Wrocław and Łódź. The two projects will deliver a total of 830 units. Trei has started the initial stage of the PRS investment in Poznan, its first PRS investment in Poland. The project will offer 450 apartments, which will be available in institutional lease formula. Jacek Wesołowski is an active ambassador for small retail formats. On his initiative, in 2019 launched the first annual retail park market summary in Poland and is releasing the fourth edition this year. In the face of the Covid-19, Jacek was one of the initiators and representatives of the retail park owners’ community to hold talks with tenants.
Contributions made to the improvement of the CEE commercial property market
Jacek Wesołowski introduced a new retail format to Poland – he was responsible for the success of the first downtown shopping center in Poland: KLIF in Gdynia. Jacek is also an active ambassador of the younger retail format – retail parks. He actively participates in the development of this sector in Poland. Under his leadership, Trei Real Estate Poland created the first market report on the retail park sector in Poland. Currently, Trei will be publishing the fourth edition of this report. In the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, Jacek Wesołowski was one of the initiators and representatives of the retail park owners’ community, operating in Poland, to hold talks with tenants. Negotiations were held with 38 chains and companies representing over 900 stores in more than 200 locations. The agreements reached allowed tenants to reopen their stores by the end of May 2020.

Putting his achievements firmly in the spotlight, Trei Real Estate’s Jacek Wesołowski was named this year’s Industry Professional. The Jury recognised his strong leadership skills under challenging market circumstances while continuously delivering the developer’s popular Vendo Park formats in Poland. Jacek Wesołowski is a recognised expert on the Polish real estate market. He is willingly invited to participate as a speaker and jury member at real estate events and conferences. This year he was an expert at the Rzeczpospolita Real Estate Impactor retail debate and in previous years he was a speaker at ULI Poland Annual Conference and member of the jury in competitions organized by Eurobuild and Europa Property. Under the leadership of Jacek Trei has won numerous awards in international competitions, including the CEE Retail Awards organized by Europa Property – Trei won the Developer of the Year category in 2021 and 2020, CEE Investment Awards – where Trei has been Retail Developer of the 2021 Year and XI Eurobuild Awards – Trei won the Retail Developer of the Year category. Trei's retail parks also won awards, for example Vendo Park Chodzież in 2019 was awarded a silver statuette at PRCH Retail Awards and Vendo Park Częstochowa won the Retail Park category in CEE Retail Awards 2021.
