Renovation of a school in a small village in Poland, Ghelamco Poland

Ghelamco has been a member of the Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility since 2010. This year they decided to combine their foundation activities and their own construction experience with an annual company event. They went to Nowe Worowo, northwest Poland, to refurbish the primary school. Along with the director of the school they selected the English and History classes with corridors next to them, the main corridor, waiting room, entrances and nurse room as the places to work. During the project they painted 1000 sqm of walls, installed 200 sqm of new floors, 30 cans of montage glue, over one km of montage tape and 540 sqm of painting foil, and installed new lighting and new furniture - all within only 24 hours, from Saturday noon till Sunday noon! On Sunday they organized the opening of the “new” school with a picnic for children with many attractions, games and a grill. We hope it will be a real window onto the world for the Nowe Worowo children.
