The largest WI-FI network installation in Poland serving patients of the medical care unit was launched.
The largest non-commercial WiFi installation in Poland was launched at the Children’s Health Centre, which will allow free, unlimited, wireless access to the Internet for hospital patients. Up to 10,000 users can use the modern WI-FI system at the same time. Professional devices that meet medical standards were selected, and the network was designed and built, including the provision of funds, by StarNet Telecom. One of the most prestigious specialised hospitals in Poland can offer its young patients not only top quality treatment and medical care, but also additional comfort – the possibility of unlimited and free online access. The system has been equipped with the state-of-the-art devices from renowned manufacturers, having the appropriate certificates, which confirm compliance with specific standards for medical devices. The Children’s Health Centre building was wired with a network that connects devices and WI-FI antennas, and the various units of the facility were connected by fibre optic cables. StarNet has built such installations in dozens of commercial facilities, but this one is unique since it covers the locations of specialist medical devices, which significantly raised the requirements. StarNet Telecom is a company that has been active in the telecommunications industry for 17 years and focuses on the provision of services at office complexes and shopping malls. The company can be presented as a leader in servicing commercial facilities as currently StarNet provides services at approximately 230 prestigious locations throughout the country, with a particular emphasis on the competitive market of the Warsaw metropolis. Innovative technological solutions, a pro-customer approach and carefully selected qualified staff are the necessary factors that contribute to the growth in revenue and increasing the volume of customers, which is reflected in the Company’s financial results. For young patients who spend even half their lives in the hospital, access to the network is like opening a window to the world. Such factors as empathy and the need to do good and give joy are not the basis of business, but they are more and more often associated with it. And building this WI-FI network for such sensitive patients as children is not just an effort to have a good corporate image, but also a real, great satisfaction for people who have created it. During the first day, 700 people connected to the Internet.
