Sponsorship and participation in the cyclical cultural event
Kajima Poland is a general contractor of buildings focussed principally on the industrial and logistics sectors. Our staff of 150 comprises engineers, architects and construction managers. Diverse in terms of nationality and culture, our international team is made up of specialists from Poland and Japan. As a result, we undertake various activities to bring about the cultural integration of all our employees and their families, breaking down cultural and national stereotypes, and building good relations through participation in cultural events and education. One such event that Kajima has been involved in since 2014 is the family event "Matsuri Picnic with Japanese Culture". Kajima provided financial support since 2014 and has its own pavilion at the event to showcase the Kajima Group's important cultural and technological achievements. Each year, employees at all levels take part in designing and preparing the stand and looking after visitors. In 2014 we presented the Ranran Concert Hall (in Tokyo, Japan) which was designed and built by our parent company Kajima Corporation. Our presentation took the form of long strips of graphics stylized in the traditional Japanese way. Kajima also presented the work of contemporary artist Titose: calligraphy on silk applying the traditional method. In 2015 and 2016, the theme of the multimedia stand was the renovation of Himeji Castle by Kajima Corporation. This monument is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The presentation included a movie about the techniques used during the renovation, models of the castle and displays with a description, history and photographs of the monument. In addition, in 2016, we presented Kajima Corporation's special cut and demolish technology used in the demolition of tall, dense urban buildings. We also explained how this technique works through the traditional Japanese Daruma arcade game. In 2017, the picnic moved from Torwar to the park at the Służewski House of Culture. We put an emphasis on the arcade game Daruma, grass hockey, traditional Japanese treats and a photo wake-up call in which everyone could feel like a Kajima Poland engineer. The attractions in our pavilions are always free of charge. Our presence at Matsuri is a practical manifestation result of a mission to build cultural bridges between people.
