Young in business - business simulation competition
The Globalworth Foundation organized the "Young in Business" business simulation competition for students of Silesian secondary schools. Its purpose is to popularize knowledge of economics, entrepreneurship and develop among students the competencies necessary to build a company's competitive edge.
51 teams from Bytom, Chorzow, Dabrowa Gornicza, Gliwice, Katowice, Mikolow, Ruda Slaska, Tychy and Zabrze entered the competition. The students took on the role of virtual company managers and for over a month gained their first business experience.
Participants in teams of three played the role of managers of virtual companies. Over a month of elimination rounds, they were able to decide on their company's offer, sales strategy, hiring or marketing, among other things using Industry Business Simulations. After each round, participants analyzed decisions and drew conclusions.

In addition to experience and a great opportunity to develop managerial skills, the finalists received prizes, the pool of which exceeded PLN 8,000.
The formation of an entrepreneurial attitude is of great importance in the development and education of young people. Deepening knowledge of the possibilities of setting up and running a virtual company increases the qualifications and preparation of students for future functioning in the labor market. By organizing the competition we want to give students the opportunity to recognize their predispositions, and plan their educational and professional path.
