The SimplyHealthy@Schools initative promotes knowledge about health and well-being among school children. Almost 120 secondary schools from over 100 towns in Poland took part in the project. The first stage was a competition about sustainable development (ecology, health prophylaxis, methods of saving energy, principles of hygiene, correct diet, etc.). The schools from the regions that fared best in the knowledge test moved on to the second stage of the competition, which was a football tournament in Warsaw at the Pepsi Arena stadium. In the final match ending the project, pupils from Nidzica beat their peers from Pełczyce, 2:1. The players competing in the football tournament won prizes in the form of the replacement of the lighting at their schools and at the schools from their region which took the lower places in the knowledge test. All the prizes – 90 in total – have been provided by Philips, on the 90th anniversary of its operations in Poland.
