The company ESG reporting mode (short description)
GTC's ESG 2022 report was prepared in accordance with the newest GRI Standards. The following aspects were taken into account in the presentation of the approach and indicators: recommendations of the CSRD Directive on the approach to the materiality analysis of ESG topics (double materiality), EPRA Sustainability Best Practices Recommendations Guidelines, TCFD guidelines, The UN Sustainable Development Goals as well as GRI Standards. 2022 marks the first ESG report for Ada Mall in Belgrade.

Green certificates obtained for the investments developed or purchased by your company
90% of portfolio with BREEAM,LEED or DGNB.8 buildings in Poland with “Building without Barriers”, and 13 assets in Croatia and Hungary access4you® certified in 2022/23. In 2023 CenterPoint I&II, GTC X, Mall of Sofia, Sofia Tower I&II got LEED Gold and 7 buildings with BREEAM recertification.

The company activities in environmental protection
We invested in 224 PV panels in Galeria Północna,participated in the Earth Hour campaign,provided space for an exhibition of endangered animal species by WWF,planted 100saplings in Belgrade,provided environmentally friendly amenities for employees and customers using our buildings(free bicycle repair stations,greening of offices and patios in our buildings or charging stations for electric vehicles).Other environmental education activities,including those related to our partnership with WWF.

The company activities in social responsibility
Lately we focused on initiatives supporting Ukrainians.We joined the#Property4Ukraine campaign.Simultaneously,our local offices carried out healthcare-related initiatives,including supporting the Pediatric Hospital inSofia and in Budapest the KAPTÁR Adult Day Care Center and the intensive care unit for premature infants of St.John’s Hospital.We took part in many sports events,e.g.40+beach volleyball championship at Galeria Jurajska.We add improvements for the needs of people with disabilities.

GTC’s publicly available system of principles is consistent across all Group companies.GTC complies to the disclosure obligations required of listed companies,ensuring transparency of operations.Our key regulations that define approach to ethics in business operations:Code of Conduct,ESG Policy,Whistleblowing Policy,Anti-bribery and Corruption Policy.In accordance with our guidelines,any employee can anonymously report behavior and misconduct of concern,and we guarantee to protect the employee.

Why does the company deserve the title of Real Estate Leader in the area of ESG practices
We develop GTC’s property portfolio in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. All GTC’s properties in Poland, Romania, Hungary, and Croatia, as well as the Advance Business Center I and II office buildings in Bulgaria, use green energy. 90% of GTC’s assets are green certified 19 projects received “Buildings without Barriers” or access4you® certificates. We focus on solutions to improve environmental impact management in accordance with the strict BREEAM and LEED certification requirements. We lowered our CO2 emissions (scope 1,2,3) by 36% vs. 2021 (19%LfL) and CO2 emissions (scope 1&2) by 36% vs. 2021 (36%LfL), total energy consumption by 9% (4% LfL), and garbage generation by 30%. 29% of waste generated recycled in 2022. In each of the countries where GTC is present, we take an active part in many non-profit activities as a partner, organizer or sponsor.
