SEGRO is guided by the priorities set by the Responsible SEGRO program which assumes: Championing Low-Carbon Growth, Investing in Local Communities and Environments, and Nurturing Talent. Activities included in the program are planned and enforced annually, and their reporting takes place after the end of the project.
Green certificates obtained for the investments developed or purchased by your company
Each of our newly constructed SEGRO facilities must have a BREEAM certificate; starting from 2022 with an Excellent level. Already at the design stage of the facility, SEGRO plans solutions that have a real impact on aspects such as energy, water use, internal environment and materials.
The company activities in environmental protection
SEGRO conducts many activities in environmental protection: it focuses on solutions such as cloud-based utility monitoring system that allows to optimize energy and gas consumption. Each of our newly constructed facilities must have a BREEAM certificate; starting from 2022 with an Excellent level. All the energy purchased by SEGRO in Poland is now green certified and comes from 100% wind and solar sources. SEGRO is the first warehouse developer in Poland to install beehives in logistics parks.
The company activities in social responsibility
SEGRO has implemented such activities as: installation of 43 touchless water dispensers in educational institutions, in project Operation Clear River our team cleaned 2 tons of waste around water reservoirs. We also cooperated with the Ocalenie Foundation. As part of the SEGRO Academy 750 students took part in a dedicated language competition. The Be Active with SEGRO challenge promotes physical activity among employees, customers and agents; we donated 60K PLN to the Leżę i Pracuję foundation.
The company activities in the corporate governance issue
SEGRO's policy requires respecting the human rights of colleagues, business partners and the communities. We have a transparent policy of publishing annual financial reports. The company’s health and safety policy is aimed at being proactive in the elimination of risks through tighter controls, training, and raising awareness. SEGRO holds regular board meetings and maintains regular contact with shareholders. The Board should always have at least 40 percent female members.
