Piotr Kroenke has been a member of the Management Board and the Group’s General Director since 1995. He is a graduate of Warsaw University of Technology, where he obtained an MSc degree in sanitary engineering in 1974. Piotr Kroenke has extensive experience in the construction industry. Between 1975 and 1989 he worked for P.I.P. Instal-Warszawa, initially as an engineer and then in managerial positions. Before joining the Group, he worked for Budimex S.A., where he served as the chief executive officer of Budimex Warszawa S.A. Piotr Kroenke was invited to GTC after, working in Budimex, he successfully delivered Mokotów Business Park with Galaxy, the first office building in the Warsaw’s CBD in Służewiec. The building was a technological challenge at that time, but was completed on time and within the planned budget.
Biggest business achievements, especially those made last year
Under Piotr Kroenke, since mid-1990’s GTC’s office investments have revived neglected post-industrial areas in Poland constructing modern facilities along with necessary infrastructure. One of such key projects both for the Polish market and for the developer was Mokotów Business Park, the biggest office park in Poland.In terms ofthe key retail projects GTC, among others, developed GaleriaMokotów, which until today remains one of the flagship shopping and entertainment centers in Poland. Regarding 2016, GTC invested EUR 93m and achieved pre-letting of all of its major projects, most notably Galeria Północna, University Business Park B.Piotr Kroenke was profoundly committed to construction of Galeria Północna, opened in September 2017. His efforts to employ a team of the best specialists in the world and a deep dedication to every single installation process resulted in a successful and quick delivery of the most-expected GTC’s retail project in the last decade.
Contributions made to the improvement of the CEE commercial property market
As an experienced senior specialist Piotr Kroenkeis dedicated to GTC’s development and acquisition of excellent locations in the fastest growing markets of Poland. With projects like Mokotów Business Park, he supported and ensured the bloom of Warsaw office market and the whole business district. On top of that, Piotr Kroenke supervised the construction of Galeria Mokotów, one of the first large-scale shopping malls in Poland.This year, another extraordinary project was completed under his guidance. Galeria Północna - GTC’s Polish flagship retail project was officially opened this September. The first major shopping and entertainment center located in Warsaw’s Białołęka district is also the first modern shopping mall delivered in Warsaw over the last ten years. What’s more, the opening of Galeria Północna in Q3 2017 more than doubled the value of GTC's income producing retail portfolio.
