Virtual Journeys with Globalworth was a CSR initiative developed with the Rakiety Oncology Foundation to support young cancer patients through VR therapy.
The project reached oncology wards in hospitals in six cities—Warsaw, Gdańsk, Łódź, Wrocław, Kraków, and Katowice—offering immersive VR experiences that provided relief from stress and anxiety during treatment.
VR technology helped children temporarily escape the hospital environment, improving their emotional well-being and reducing stress. Approximately 250 young patients took part in the program.
Each hospital involved in the project received a dedicated VR headset set for continued therapeutic use.
The sessions created space for emotional expression, bonding, and moments of joy—for children and their families alike. Psychological support is a vital part of holistic oncology care, and introducing solutions like VR is a key step in improving young patients’ quality of life.
