The high rating of Kajima Poland in terms of ESG is confirmed by EcoVadis (we received the Silver Medal). In 2021, we were certified as meeting ISO 14001:2015 certification for environmental management. To complement our activities related to meeting the widely understood environmental protection,sustainable development and ESG requirements, we joined the PLGBC Association in 2021. Maciej Runkiewicz has been involved in the construction sector since 1995. Since 2001, he has been working for Kajima, a Japanese general contractor specializing in large-size buildings. He has gone through all career levels here, first as a Project Director in charge of construction of production facilities. Currently, as the President of the Company’s Management Board, he leads its over 180 employees and is fully accountable for the overall business of Kajima Poland.

KAJIMA Poland should win this award because in 2021 our business achieved a turnover of over one billion PLN. In Q3 / 2021 we completed two major projects. The first project is a 4-storey warehouse for Panattoni BTS Świebodzin - dedicated to an e-commerce giant with a total space of over 200.000m2. The second investment was the industrial sector automotive facility for Umicore with a total space of over 34.000 SQM. KAJIMA brings Japanese standards of diligent and punctual work, strict observance of health and safety on construction sites, and care for the environment. KAJIMA offers its clients the possibility to have their projects certified in the international environmental BREEAM and LEED systems, as well as the coordination of projects in BIM.
