Thomas Kurzmann is GTC’s CEO since 2014, re-appointed by the Supervisory Board of GTC for a new 3-year term in May 2017. Thomas is a visionary who can foresee trends and take right decisions to meet the needs of potential tenants on a very specific commercial real estate market. During his presidency, GTC became the first Polish inward listed company on the main board of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). Under Thomas’s rule GTC keeps growing, successfully expanding its solid portfolio.

ACQUISITION ACTIVITY ACROSS THE CEE REAL ESTATE MARKETS BETWEEN OCTOBER 2009 AND SEPTEMBER 2019
Over the past 10 years, GTC completed acquisitions of various office and retail properties across the CEE market. Among them there are such buildings as: Duna Tower in Budapest (31,300 sq m), Pixel in Poznań (14,700 sq m), Artico in Warsaw (7,600 sq m), Sterlinga Business Center in Łódź (13,400 sq m), Neptun Office Center in Gdańsk (16,100 sq m), Mall of Sofia (22,400 sq m), Premium Point in Bucharest (6,400 sq m), Premium Plaza in Bucharest (8,500 sq m), and Belgrade Business Center (17,700 sq m); and land plot for Galeria Północna (developed in 2017). Moreover, the developer acquired various plots for new projects in the pipeline – such as Pillar in Budapest and Zielone Tarasy in Warsaw.
Annual income and net profit
The annual income amounted EUR 130m and net profit EUR 92m.

Within past 10 years, GTC has grown into a leading developer and investor in the commercial real estate sector, focusing its activities in Poland and CEE capitals (Budapest, Bucharest, Zagreb, Sofia, Belgrade). The most important investments include the opening of shopping centers: Galeria Jurajska and Galeria Północna in Poland, and Ada Mall in Belgrade, development of state-of-art office building across the region: University Business Park, Łódź, Green Heart, Belgrade, White House, Budapest. GTC acquired i.a.: Duna Tower, Pixel, Mall of Sofia and Belgrade Business Center, all perfectly managed and with full occupancy and profitability under GTC’s management. Additionally, GTC sold some of its assets, incl. Galeria Mokotów (the best performing shopping mall in PL), White House and Platinium Business Park. Over the years GTC modernized its office and retail portfolio, focused on eco-friendly initiatives - over 76% of offices and 60% of retail assets are certified with LEED or BREEAM.

The GTC Group is a leading developer and investor in the real estate sector, focusing its activities on the Polish market and CEE capitals, found in 1994. Today, GTC is the owner and manager of 47 commercial buildings offering nearly 762,000 sq m of office and commercial space to its clients. GTC is an originator and developer of some of the most characteristic landmarks in CEE, such as Galeria Mokotów, Galeria Jurajska, University Business Park, White House, buildings in the popular “Mordor” district in Warsaw. GTC creates comfort space for its tenants, its buildings are rewarded by the industry and distinguished with eco-certificates. GTC’s office projects are extremely popular with tenants – 94% occupancy rate. Retail projects increase their footfall, e.g. in Galeria Jurajska H1 2019 turnover improved 7% over H1 2018. The developer is well known as a stable WSE-listed developer and one of the pillars of a WIG-Developers stock subcategory, also listed on Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
