Katowice is currently the fourth regional market in Poland in terms of modern office space. Considering Warsaw, Katowice is in fifth place. The size of the modern office space in the capital of the voivodeship of Silesia is 478,800 sq m. In the first half of 2018 one office project was completed - .KTW I. In the Q3, the fourth stage of Silesia Business Park was also completed (12,000 sq m). The fourth building of GPP Business Park (7,800 sq m) will be finished soon. In the Q2 2018 Echo Investment started to build an office complex at Grundmanna Street that will provide approximately 46,200 sq m of space. The investment will be implemented in phases. In the first stage of the investment 20,100 sq m of space will be commissioned. In the second stage there will be 26,100 sq m of space for rent. The completion date of both stages is planned for 2021. There are plans to build another office buildings that will provide 56,400 sq m. The vacancy rate in Katowice is currently at 10.8%.
