Trei Real Estate GmbH, a German real estate company, acquires, develops and manages customised and sustainable residential and retail properties. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Tengelmann Group, it focuses on real estate investments and developments in Germany, Poland and the United States. In addition to c. 1.3 billion euros in assets under management, Trei has another c. 1.7 billion euros worth of developments in the pipeline. Under the Vendo Park brand, the company develops, builds and leases retail parks, creating a strong portfolio of their commercial projects in CEE. At present, Trei is the owner of 39 retail parks in Europe, 29 located in Poland. Trei also develops residential properties in Europe and the US. In Poland the company currently has two developments under construction, in Wrocław and Łódź and also started its first PRS project in Poland – the investment is located in Poznań. Jacek Wesołowski has 35 years’ experience in the retail, office and residential real estate sectors. He has been Managing Director of Trei Real Estate Poland since 2016. Jacek is responsible for strategic decisions concerning investments and the construction of Trei’s real estate portfolio in Poland. Under his management, Trei has been developing two residential projects and a chain of retail parks, now owns 29 Vendo Parks. Trei also debuted on the PRS sector in Poland this year.

Trei Real Estate's strategy as a developer is based on independent planning, construction, commercialization and management of retail parks in the long term. The company has its own Asset Department, whose task is to maintain and efficiently manage buildings. Trei develops its own portfolio in Poland and intends to manage all the facilities in the long term.

Currently, Trei has two projects in Poland under construction: Vendo Park Otwock (9,100 sqm) and Vendo Park Skarżysko-Kamienna (7,800 sqm). Four more projects Trei plans to open this year are at the initial phase: Vendo Park Mielec (9,800 sqm), Vendo Park Zambrów (6,300 sqm) and Vendo Park Gorzów Wielkopolski (n/a) and Vendo Park Szczecin (9,700 sqm). Trei has built 29 retail parks in Poland and the developer is planning further expansion and increasing its portfolio of retail parks to 60 Vendo Parks in the CEE region within 5 years.

Trei Real Estate has been the leading retail investor on the Polish market since 2013. The company develops its Polish portfolio of Vendo Parks, which now consists of 29 retail parks. Only in 2021 Trei completed and opened 8 retail parks: in Zielonka, Piekary Śląskie, Koszalin, Myślibórz, Oświęcim, Inowrocław, Chorzów and Radzymin, totalling 37,400 sqm GLA. This meant 2 more projects more than in 2020, and a 8.5% increase in space delivered y-o-y. Last year, Trei Real Estate adapted a strategy for further Vendo Parks development and formed a EUR 140 mln joint venture with Patron Capital. At the end of 2021 Trei also obtained financing in the amount of EUR 27.5 mln from Polish bank Pekao. Obtained debt capital will be used for further expansion of the company in Poland, including residential investments and the construction of retail parks. Trei currently operates 39 retail parks in Europe and plans to build a total of 60 Vendo Parks.
