The change of the office is more to us than just a new address. We put our people at the heart of our firm, so we hope that the new philosophy behind the choice of our new office will improve the relations among employees, including intergenerational communication. In addition, it will enable us to share knowledge more effectively. In the new office layout will see and talk to each other more often, which will facilitate building knowledge and experience sharing. In order to meet the employees’ and clients’ needs, Deloitte’s office space was designed in high degree according to the Activity-Based Workplace principles. The office is divided into special zones offering various uses, such as informal meetings, teamwork, creative work, project work and rest. A lot of the space is open space with a majority of desks being shared and not assigned to any particular individuals (except for Directors, Assistants and Internal Services). During Partners’ absence all their offices will be available to other employees as meeting rooms. The new office will also have small rooms for those who need to focus on their tasks in silence. The building is fitted with sound-absorbing panels and small rooms serving as telephone booths. The office design also provides for a large number of LCD screens to reduce the amount of printed documentation and paper waste, so it is environmentally-friendly. To enhance a comfort of work to our employees we use innovative Xio Motion electric adjustable office desks, so we are able to adjust the height of the furniture to our needs, but also are able to choose whether we prefer to work seated or standing. We have also selected sound-absorbent upholstered desk dividers and integrated electric sockets to reduce the number of cables and chargers. Each desk will also have a computer screen. We want to make sure that our office meets our employees’ needs. We invited discussion groups comprised of employees from different departments and with different work experiences to give us their opinion about the planning of our new office space. On top of that, all the rest were welcome to take part in the designing process and share their ideas using the Q22 Platform for Sharing Ideas specially designed for that purpose. That is where employees could submit their ideas for the interior design of meeting rooms, kitchens or the cafeterias. Over a three-month period of the platform’s operation, it gathered 95 ideas suggested by 337 people. 1500 votes were cast for the top 95 ideas. The best ideas were awarded; the ones offering the best potential – implemented in the new office. A special role in our new office plays cafeteria, dedicated to all employees and our guests, where we can spend time relaxing or working in the popular Green Caffè Nero cafeteria located on the 20th floor of the building.

Our intention was to create office space up to the standards of the 21st century, keeping up with technological and cultural changes and suitable for further dynamic growth of our firm. At the same time, it was crucial that the new office plan guarantees maximum efficiency and comfort, regardless of the way we work.
