The Koluszki project is the next step on the path of strengthening Kongsberg Automotive’s position as the global vendor of advanced technology components for the automotive sector.
Size of the project exceeds 6300 sq.m, with the manufacturing and storage area occupying over 5600 sq.m + more than 700 sq.m office space. The factory is manufacturing truck components for leading vendors such as Volvo, Scania and DAF, and the first product lot has just came into existence in September. Technology first. Manufacturing processes in the new Kongsberg Automotive plant is automated and executed by machines. Most works requiring precision, such as machining, forming, quenching, welding and assembling, are carried out with the use of industrial robots. The distinguishing features of Panattoni Europe's development for the new investor include the application of relative humidity control technologies which will maintain ambient humidity at 50 per cent.
