New Warehouse of the Year, Poland
InPost has been a customer at the P3 Piotrków park since 2009. The postal & courier services operator has grown rapidly in recent years. As a result its old building became too small. The new BTS warehouse will be InPost’s main sorting office for Poland. The new sorting office will increase Inpost’s handling capacity by up to 60%. Inpost’s new facility has an L-shaped design and comprises approximately 5700 sq.m. of warehouse space, 8000 sq.m. crossdock and nearly 1600 sq.m. of offices. It features 53 docks and 6 courier gates. A number of cutting edge technologies have been incorporated in order to reduce operating costs for the customer and the building’s impact on the environment. These include a solar water heating system, tap aerators with infrared detection to reduce water use and innovative “sandwich” insulation panels to reduce heat gain in summer and heat loss in winter. LED lighting is used in both the interior and exterior lighting systems.
