Please say why your company should be considered for this award:	TORUS is a medium polish company with no foreign roots and capital. Though having no previous experience or back up from a foreign partners (we are not a branch of an international company that would share their experience with us)we managed to become a precursor in sustainable building in northern Poland.TORUS believes that in terms of commercial buildings ecology is not a matter of fashion but the response to growing requirements of potential users. Two phases of our biggest investment: multifunctional complex Alchemia, Gdańsk,(the 1st phase is about to be finished, the 2nd one starts off this winter) have been pre certified in Platinum level in LEED C&S 2009 which was a result of hard team work of all Torus workers. Every day we are defining new standards in terms of planning, designing and construction of green buildings. We aim at implementing sustainable management which guarantees achieving measurable savings during exploitation together with high comfort in using the buildings.
