Why the company should be considered for this award:

Capital Park is currently developing the largest sustainable building in Poland - the Eurocentrum Office Complex. The completion of the first construction phase is scheduled for June 2014. The building has been been certified as LEED core and shell ‘Gold’. The following are some aspects of the building's sustainable design: 100 pct of rainwater is to be used to flush toilets and to water plants in the atria; drinking water consumption to be reduced by 59 pct; electricity consumption in the building’s general systems to be reduced by 25 pct (by up to 40 pct in the case of individual tenant consumption); over 30 pct of local building materials obtained through recycling to be used, and in the case of wood – obtained from certified sources; the heat island effect to be reduced thanks to a roofing membrane with a high SRI; and alternative means of transport to be supported – 22 charging stations for electric vehicles, 162 parking spaces for cyclists and 25 changing and shower rooms. Eurocentrum, a fifteen-storey class ‘A+’ office building located on Al. Jerozolimskie in Warsaw, will have 63,600 sqm of office space, 2,200 sqm of retail and restaurant space, 612 parking spaces in an underground car park and 162 above-ground parking spaces. Capital Park also supports eco-friendly ventures, such as the BioBazar – Warsaw's only ecological bazaar open to the public in the ArtNorblin project, the site of the former Norblin factory at ul. Żelazna 51/53.
