Why the company should be considered for this award:	Apsys is pays particular attention so that its new flagship project under development – the Łacina shopping centre in Poznań – is ecological and through its operations is caring for the environment, the surroundings and the well-being of tenants, customers and employees. Modern design solutions and the selection of environmentally friendly building and finishing materials with low emissions of volatile organic compounds will guarantee the best shopping environment possible. During construction, ecological guidelines will be implemented to provide species variety in the green area. Łacina will be energy-efficient - insulation materials and solutions will minimise heat loss, lighting systems installed with high-frequency stabilisers for fluorescent lamps, together with the usage of technology and devices with low power consumption will allow to reduce electricity consumption, special technology with leak detection system will enable to use rainwater for sanitary purposes. Łacina, through different kinds of systems, will also provide an optimal volume of fresh air, thermal comfort, noise reduction and many more to improve customer comfort. Apsys invites users to take alternative means of transport, through the extension of bicycle paths and building bike racks with lockers for cyclists. The high standard of Łacina will be confirmed with a BREEAM New Build certificate. Łacina shopping centre will be one of the first in Poland to apply to be certified under this strict and complex evaluation system, involving the whole design and construction process.
