Brief description of the company:	Apsys is a global developer, investor, project manager, leasing agent and property manager operating on Polish and French markets since 1996. Apsys manages 15 shopping centres for external clients.
Why the company should be considered for the award:	Apsys Polska as a facility manager has already completed several major projects in 2012. One of the biggest was the modernisation of general, emergency and evacuation lighting in CH Krokus, one of the oldest shopping centres in Kraków. The lighting was completely replaced by new system based on LED technology, which allowed the centre to reduce its consumption of electric energy by 70 pct. In addition, over the next five years, the manager will not bear the cost of purchase and replacement of the light sources. The modernisation has improved the light intensity and its distribution, and the natural colour of LED has improved customers’ comfort. The success of the modernisation was confirmed by granting BREEAM-in-Use certificates both to CH Krokus and Apsys. A similar investment has already been initiated in CH Platan in Zabrze.
